Older is better to avoid internet dangers

Check out this video on the down side of the net from philosopher Alain de Botton and art curator Sophie Howarth’s School of Life – and see how much older people are doing right. We’re better than young people at doing a lot of the things recommended here to keep a balance between our online and offline lives, like:

1. Connecting with the natural world – we tend to walk, not too fast, for exercise, which allows for looking at what’s around us.

2. Speaking to people face-to-face – like we did for all the decades before the digital age dawned.

3. Taking frequent breaks from staring at the screens of our computers and phones.
